Anatomy for Osteopaths

Course at Stanford

  • First Session: Saturday, April 27, 2024
  • 9 AM-12 PM: Abdominal/Pelvis
  • Course Director: Alistair Moresi, DO
  • Joint Sponsored by PGIO

We were honored to joint sponsor the development of a series of Anatomy classes developed for Osteopaths at Stanford University.

One of the unique aspects of this series will be that the dissections are performed on fresh cadavers that are unfixed by any preserving agents, allowing a more realistic appreciation of tissue textures and their connections.

Anatomy for Osteopaths Course Flyer

For the first lab on Saturday, April 27th at 9am, we are thrilled to have Dr. Miguel Angeles, an experienced OB/GYN surgeon and Stanford Professor. He will open the abdominal/pelvic cavity and guide us through an exploration of the embryological and fascial connections that we all palpate and work with every day as well as the common surgeries that he performs. There will be a limited number of participants so we can all observe closely and surrounding TV monitors to help.

There are 3 following labs planned on the Head/Neck, Upper Extremity and Lower Extremity that we anticipate holding quarterly. There is an upper limit of 21 participants and the course is expected to fill quickly.

Course Fee
*Cost: $450/per session to cover expenses for the Post Graduate Institute for Osteopathy (PGIO). A
